Basic Mission idea is as follows Simultaneous Amphib and Airborne invasion of a hostile Island/Coast line. just need some help finding a map and how I should delegate assets, also a zeus willing to take this mission on would be sweet. I am modeling this mission after Operation Overlord, the Invasion of Normandy by Allied Forces in WW2 but of course with modern equipment and smaller scale. My idea is to have the paratroop units (2 squad max) jump in well before the sea invasion and secure a variety of objectives that will make the Amphibious easier or harder depending on success. then soon after (maybe 20 to 30 minutes at most) the invasion will launch, maybe starting with a medium shelling of the landing zone. The final objective of the Invasion will be the securing of a large town and if things go decently well both the Airborne and Amphib force should be able to attack the town at the same time from different directions. Any feedback? If you guys could help me find a map and take an image of the map that would help in drawing up a plan. Also I may put a strawpoll up to name the mission.

untilAfter talking with numerous individuals who took place in the first main mission today (18-3-2018) i am now, more than ever, convinced that Airborne Instruction is needed. As such i will be doing twice monthly training sessions for Airborne (Parachute) insertion This will take place ON SERVER 2 and can run along side MILBASE if it's active NOTE: THIS IS *****UNOFFICIAL***** TRAINING AND IS DESIGNED TO HELP INDIVIDUALS WHO WOULD LIKE HELP WITH THE PARACHUTING MECHANICS OF ARMA I also strongly doubt this will last 2.5 hours, I am making it time was that much as, depending on time zones, individuals who want to attend will be able to without fear if missing it due to timezones or jobs. Course will cover the following: -Basics of Parachuting -*Brief* history of Airborne forces in warfare -Overview of the 2 types of parachutes used (steerable/non steerable) -various styles of jumps And their differences -deployment and organization of Airborne unita before and after a jump (NOTE: This is mainly meant for those planning on being PL/SL/2ic of units but all are welcome to listen in as leadership roles can be dropped on anyone depending on mission) Schedule (NOTE: times will change based on how the class goes, this is NOT a firm schedule besides start time) 1900-primary muster and class begins 1910-overview of basic loadout of a Paratrooper Rifleman (NOTE this will be US Army Based) 1930-brief history of Military Airborne units and noteworthy operations 1945-Overview of types of parachutes 2000-Different jumps 2015-begin jump training (individuals will jump from 1000 feet to start then will move accordingly based on jump style) 2045- leadership section 2100- Airborne Operation against live (AI) targets on server (if milbase is not running. If it is, mission will take place on server 1) AGAIN, THIS IS UNOFFICIAL TRAINING. NO TAGS OF ANY KIND WILL BE AWARDED
