OPERATION FOREFRONT RESERVATIONS BY REGS+ TAG HOLDERS TAKE PRIORITY Situation With the United States and British forces pulling out of Takistan UN forces have moved in to arrange a peaceful transition for the state as well as numerous clean up operations. With the Taliban losing more and more ground to the newly trained Afghan Armed Forces with the support of the UN, British Armed Forces and United States Army. Brief As it stands several smaller operations are happening within the AO. All forces involved have agreed to be coordinated by UN command. There are several main objectives that must be completed: Secure the Hostages (Blue) Clear the village of mines & provide aid to civilians (Green) Eliminate cell leader (Yellow) Capture the arms dealer and extract (Orange shows his depart and arrival convoy route) Capture and repel a counterattack of the oil fields (Red) Each of these objectives should be completed by the following groups Blue – UN Green – British Armed Forces 42nd Royal Engineering Corp Yellow – Prophet Orange – SPECOPS Red – Afghan Armed Forces Some objectives must be completed before another one can commence. The Yellow objectives must be completed before the Blue one is attempted otherwise the hostages will be detonated Once the Orange objective is completed the SPECOPS squad will be provided information regarding the number of each type of hostile asset. Once the Green objective is complete civilians in the surrounding villages will be less likely to provide information to the hostiles. Once the Red objective is complete the chances of additional hostile armour assets are greatly reduced As more objectives are completed a greater resistance will be faced at other objectives as the hostiles try to cling onto land. Once the Yellow objective is complete there will be a lack of coordination for 20 minutes as they try to reconfigure their chain of command followed by a large attack as retribution. Once their objectives are completed they are free for tasking by Platoon. There may be random objectives giving during the course of the mission that will provide Platoon with additional respawns. The platoon will choose an area to set up a FOB during the briefing this will then be stocked with 8 x Landrover UN issue 2 x Un issue BMP-2 1 x UH-60M (MEV) Blackhawk 1 x fuel truck This could end up being attacked during the initial stages of the operation but will allow respawns to be deployed here. Spawn points Blue flag – UN, PHT Orange Flag - SPECOPS Green Flag – BAF Red Flag - AAF FOB established by PLT Secured Objectives (Blue, Green, Yellow and Red) Assets 1 x UH-60M (MEV) Blackhawk (CSAR) 2 x UN issue BMP-2 (KNIGHT) 1 x YABHON-R3 (CAS) 1 x A-10D Thunderbolt II 1 x AH-6M Little Bird Fire Support A-10D Thunderbolt II 2 x AGM-65L Maverick x1 (Laser) 2 x AGM-65K Maverick x1 (IIR) 2 x GBU-12 (Bomb) YABHON-R3 2x AGM-65L Maverick x1 (Laser) Transport 1 x M1230A1 (BAF) 2 x ANA Offroad (M2) 4 x Landrover UN issue 2 x Ural-4320 (AAF) Hostile Assets Ariel recon will be conducted 1 hour before by crossroads to give an idea of hostiles assets however we do know that they will have access to: Crude motor called in by spotters on hills Some sort of armour Snipers RPG IED Suicide bombers Technicals Respawns 2 x Infantry 1 x Knight 1 x CSAR Additional respawns will be gained by completing random side objectives provided to Platoon during the time in the field. Fail Conditions If more than 10 civvies, animals (including goats!) or buildings are destroyed by friendlies. If all objectives are not completed within 2 hours in the field (ie finish by 9:30 pm) If the Platoon falls below 30% Additional Info On map Red circle +! means areas of strong support for the Taliban (although does not always mean strong in numbers). Civvies will be in towns and cities in the AO Both CAS and artillery will be called in by PLT 2IC either by reference, smoke or laser designation. CAS and artillery will be Crossroads controlled. As we are UN the Geneva Convention applies, therefore shooting 10 civilians, goats will fail the mission. Also, destruction of property will not be allowed therefore no CAS or Arty will be called in on a target if it will break these rules. Once the arms dealer is captured and extracted he will provide information about the number of armoured assets. CSAR are the only units allowed to take PAKS. Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta and Foxtrot cannot take surgical kits and PAKS. cineafx Posted April 4, 2018 Report Share Posted April 4, 2018 I spoke to a few of the "guys who Zeus alot". The idea itself sounds solid and actually really good but we are a bit worried about the execution. We got a few points where we (or at least I) think problems could occurred that can be solved quite easy. Maybe convert your firesupport into some sort of player controlled asset. E.g. 1x jet with some laser guided bombs / clusterbombs / dumpfire pods ... a singular A-10D with reduced capacity or a F/A-18 could replace most of your zeus support. Having Zeus controlled assets is a thing most people don't really like. (They got tags for a reason and muh immersion) Secondly maybe add an additional transport asset. Like a MH-6M ... It could be used for transporting prophet faster, carry hostages, help coordinate airstrikes with the drone / a jet or help the CSAR bird to spot LZs etc... Last but not least your mission looks like it's going to take more than 2+ hours. Or better said ... some of the objectives will probably take longer than others. Also the squads who complete objectives will be able to be re-tasked by Platoon to support other units. I also plan to make sure the mission is finished before 9 but will extend to 9:30 as well as making sure the time actually briefing in game will be reduced by making sure most of the briefing is sorted before 7 on the day! Also remove the sections mentioning the Zeus controlled assets such as the JDAMs and Artillery. Will use the thunderbolt from the base game and was going to change the fire support options to reflect the ordinance on the Jet and UAV. The name that has been left will be the littlebird haven't added it yet as will do when i go to change the fire support.
