Hurrr
Main Mission Idea involving quick logistics and multi-force coordination CIA Special Activities Division has been in command of a Tier 1 force of operators in the mountains of Takistan for 3 weeks on a HVT search and destroy mission. Upon completion of the main mission objective, insurgent forces converged upon the HVT location and besieged US Operators. In an effort to retrieve friendly forces, the CIA has called upon all coalition forces operating in the area to support and relieve the entrenched Operators. Each squad's objective will have it's own effect on how easily Tier 1 forces can complete their mission and return with their objective, so retasking of friendly forces to either complete their objectives of divert to help the main squad survive. The Royal Marines were dispatched to secure the base. Once the base is secure, friendly AI will be dispatched from the Bluefor base to take their place, and once the reinforcements arrive their objective will be considered complete. Failure to ensure that a security presence is at the base may result in VCOM AI Kleptomaniacs to steal the enemy armor assets and use them to continue besieging enemy forces (with that chance ever increasing the longer it is left alone). However, continuing to secure the base may result in enemy forces overwhelming entrenched friendly forces. But CADPAT ARID something something something Mortar - Danish Royal Mortarmen Another role I don't know anything about but...The Danish have floated in some Mortars for us to use. Raptor - 1x Australian CH-47D, 2x US Army 160th SOAR UH60 Blackhawks, 1x Royal Dutch Air Force F-16 Australian CH-47D is the Australian's main method of ingress and egress from their missions. US Army Nightstalkers have been operating out of friendly base to run various missions and 2 are available for tasking. The Netherlands have also stationed one of their F-16s at our airbase for our tasking whenever we deem necessary. Once again I know nothing about their loadouts so I'm not even gonna try. Hurrr
At mission start, USAF PJs will be parachuting into the F-22 Crashsite, Marines will be deployed to Feruz Abad on their security mission, and Alpha squad will be deployed to their AO. Once deployment of these three are confirmed, JSDF and their NGOs will leave the friendly base in trucks, while British Royal Marines will deploy via Blackhawks to capture the Military Base and Australian SASR will deploy to the insurgent cache. If this is done correctly, Alpha squad should reach their objective while the other squads with mission-effecting objectives are approaching their AOs. While deployed, each squad should be running into their own set of sporadic resistance (whether from enemies assaulting what they're trying to defend or light guards defending what they're trying to assault). This should slow them down enough that Platoon has to make a decision on whether or not he wants 2iC to request that they pull back to assist Alpha while they're trying to fight their way back out or if they want to complete their objective and possibly ease the amount of forces raining in on Alpha indirectly. In case I borked the resolution on the map, the coalition forces base is the airbase in the north, while the abandoned russian base is the airbase in the south. JSDF is escorting their NGOs to the town circled in the northwest corner of the map, while SASR will be investigating a cache in a town circled on the eastern side of the map. The F22 Crash site is in the mountains just northwest of the airbase, while the Marines will be running security in the market in the town of Feruz Abad. The AO for Alpha is the box in red on the Western side of the map, the HVT will be somewhere in there, and the enemy QRF will spawn from the towns in that AO. juseless
You will for sure need at least 1 Co-Zeus or more. The amount of objectives and the scale of the mission might make redeployment of forces a real hassle, maybe bunch the objectives a bit closer together. I'd love to but I know literally nothing about zeusing. This was more of a thread to get feedback on feasibility from experienced zeuses and maybe to prompt one or two of them to take the mission. 2 hours ago, juseless said: You will for sure need at least 1 Co-Zeus or more. Sorry I should've mentioned, this mission idea was created with the idea of having at least 3 zeuses at any given point in time. Considering that this is essentially an HVT mission, 2 Asset Destruction missions, 2 checkpoint missions, and a town clearing mission all at once, there's no feasible way I could've imagined this would work with 1 zeus without heavy scripting. What I had in mind was having one zeus essentially keeping Alpha locked down while not completely killing them, one zeus keeping the JSDF, Marines, and USAF boys busy, while the last zeus would be keeping the SASR and RM busy. Ideally there would be one more zeus that would run between all of these and coordinate things. 1 hour ago, Chuck Yeager said: We don't have the F-16D, only F-16C Noted, I'll get it swapped out, thanks 41 minutes ago, Guest said: I have bad news for you. But even with choppers transportation might become a problem that destroys mission flow, especially because someone is going to get shot down, orders will be misunderstood or not even received. And ground vehicles would probably get stuck somewhere or be too slow and confined in the mountains, so I still recommend putting the objectives closer together. And ground vehicles would probably get stuck somewhere or be too slow and confined in the mountains, so I still recommend putting the objectives closer together. So I rearranged some of the objectives, bringing the water purification plant closer to the lake by the main air base, and changed some of the objectives. Rather than doing a checkpoint on a public market, I figured it would make more sense for a Marine Expeditionary Unit to be holding an FOB in a town outside of Faruz Abad (Also I decided to make the MEU mechanized with 2x Bradleys rather than light infantry, just because I feel like that would be better balance-wise in case Delta failed to secure their objective). Reports have been coming in from civilians inside Faruz Abad regarding abandoned soviet military equipment in a mine near Faruz Abad, and after the Marines took the intel back to coalition headquarters at Rasman AB, the Coalition Commander tasked the British Royal Marine commandos to investigate and secure the abandoned equipement (read: insurgents will take tonks out of the mine if the Royal Marines don't secure it). Artillery cache being on the complete other side of the map didn't really make sense (if they can hit the AO they can also hit the airbase why haven't they been shelling the airbase the whole time) so I moved it closer to the AO in a still hard to reach place. Same deal as initially designed though, it'll be the opfor fire support until Charlie can get in there and take it out. PJ's securing their aircraft wreckage won't really have an impact on the fighting, it's more of an obligatory thing for them to do while the rest of the map is getting in place, so that Alpha will have at least some guaranteed reinforcements early. I replaced one of the UH-60s with a UH-80 when I realized Platoon is basically sitting at base just yelling at the radio the whole time. I figure if the CIA procured stealth blackhawks for bin laden's raid they can have them as a mobile command post. If the Ghost Hawk, Black Hawk, or Chinook get too close to the AO, opfor infantry in the AO will have tons of stingers at their disposal, so trying to do an air extract will likely prove fatal. I've updated the initial post with asset listings and weapon loadouts to reflect these changes (as well as changed the platoon's joke of a uniform - they're going to be combat operators not diplomats, no suits for them). Win conditions should be: all Coalition forces (and bodies) are extracted from AO Poseidon, alongside HVT Body being returned to Rasman AirBase for confirmation. Lose Condition: Majority of forces return to base with friendly (body or otherwise) still in AO Poseidon, or HVT is not killed and confirmed by Rasman airbase mortuary. Any more feedback is appreciated. Edited January 11, 2018 by Hurrrr
