Blutze
The normal AWP has a 60% heavier bullet and ~20% higher muzzle velocity than the Covert. I never really bothered with it, but I highly doubt you can simply jumble them together even with this superficial approach (hell, the Covert isn't even in Lapua Magnum). You can however throw the 14.5" RHS HK416 into the same group as the M4s and the 10" with the Mk 18, as they have the exact same ballistics. And the M27 is absolutely not the same as the M16 - less velocity, less accurate. Might be worth mentioning that "AP" ammo for small arms doesn't interact with body armor at all, and it sometimes deals more, sometimes less damage than normal ammo. What it does do is have a better chance at going through vehicle armor to reach the passengers in the first place. 1.8 klicks range on the SMAW is a pipe dream, and the Javelin stops locking at ~2200 meters. Should also mention different warhead types for SMAW and AT-4, and the different trajectories on the RPG-7 rockets. Range on the G36 is a typo I guess? I just can't not look at these things. Help, I wanna be able to simply enjoy the game... But yeah, the AWC has significantly less effective range than the unsuppressed LapMag variant. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/207593479 Edited January 5, 2018 by Blutze
Deathly
I’m also going to say that you put AP rounds twice for the mk11, the m993 rounds are armour piercing. M113: Generic Ammo M993: Armour piercing Other mag: Tracer rounds i cant remeber the name of the last mag because I haven’t played in a while. Effective range and maximum range are two very different things. As clearly seen by the SMAW range you've put down. If the SMAW is so clearly better, firing over a kilometre further than the Gustav as you so eloquently put, why do we always use the Gustav? It's also lighter too. The maximum effective range for most 8cm+ launchers is around 500m which means inbetween 0 and 500 meters, you should almost always hit your target. Skilled users are able to hit targets way further out than 500m however. Any googled article would have told you that with little difficulty in searching. M3 MAAWS platforms are able to put down targets at a range of a kilometre max, a kilometre and a half with specific ammunition types. I just went with the effective range, and I'm aware of the difference in ammo types and ranges, but to be honest the last bit of the launcher section was a bit rushed
Doctadoone
Just now, Guest said: I just went with the effective range, and I'm aware of the difference in ammo types and ranges, but to be honest the last bit of the launcher section was a bit rushed You should at least have some consistency. You've labelled both the SMAW and Gustav ranges as "Range," when one is an effective range and one is a maximum range. It's confusing and bad practice. Use one or the other or both and stuff like this doesn't happen. >.> You're in a community with a bunch of people who either study military equipment closely or are ex-military. Corrections are going to constantly be made by plenty of people.
