All roles of the carrier are taken up by players. This includes all deck crew (Aircraft handlers, Catapult Officers, ATC and so forth) as well as Jet Pilots, Heli pilots and a Seal Team. Any player taking a Deck Crew role must have an understanding of all the different roles of deck crew as well as how a carrier works. This will mainly be an aerial assault, though the Nimitz is support by 1x Arleigh-Burke Class Destroyer as well as 1x Virginia Class Sub, So if you don't like air and naval combat, or crewing a carrier, this mission is not for you. More will be explained in briefing.
BRIEFING:
At 4.20pm Central Intelligency Agency has confirmed sighting of Aiman az-Zawahiri on the main island of Altis. We believe that he is currently meeting the head of the pakistani National Security Council Iftikhar Babar. Additionally, long range radar scans show signs of active pakistani F-22s and Su-25s. Intel shows no SAM Sites, at the Capture VIP a DSHKM or two, the rest is unknown
OBJECTIVES:
We will be sending 2nd Seal Team Callsign "Echo Team" to infil by helicopter from the USS Liberty stationed south of the target compound to extract Iftikhar Babar and kill Aiman az-Zawahiri. The helicopter has to return to the main US Naval Fleet once the VIP is on board. In the event of the VIP dying, he is to body bag to extract his corpse. It is very likely that once the compound is under attack, Pakistan will send their jets into the AO to deal with any threats and extract the VIP to Kavala. That's why Harrier Ace 1-1 and Ace 1-2 have to destroy certain comms towers held by Pakistan National Army to allow a delay of Pakistans main strike force. To make sure that Echo Team is not in danger, an F-35C will provide CAP, along with an F/A-18E Multiroler. All jets are under the command of F/A-18Fs FAC-A WSO.
Finally, we want to make sure that Al-Qaeda will no longer operate on Altis. That's why the Harriers are to Search and Destroy Al-Qaeda encampments in the north of the main island once all comms towers have been destroyed.
