Rotary Wing Basics

This training is a focus on the basics of flight, topics covered will consist of:

  • Terminology
  • Aircraft Systems
  • Basic comms and Hierarchy
  • Lifting and egressing
  • Flight (Formations and optimum altitudes) 
  • Approaches and Landing

 

Rotary Wing Training

Goal

The end goal is to ensure you are competent in the basics of flight and capable of performing the transport role effectively. 

Training Session.

The session will consist of two groups of three people to ensure all topics are covered and practice can be preformed.

Each session should be 1hr if all goes well. Unfortunately, as per usual, Regulars+ have priority for this training session.

FYI UK is GMT now, so this is 2 hours after the mm... I'm pretty sure @Mittens knows that though, and intends it to start after the mm if it were to go over 2 hours... :)

isnt it 1 hour after main mission? so 11pm my time? gmt1.

GMT = Greenwich Mean Time, which is the time at the very centre vertical axis that has been assigned to Earth.

It's during the summer that we change to GMT+1, but the forum accounts for all of that.

So just make sure you have your location setup correctly on your forum account, and then go by all forum times, if it says 11pm, it means 11pm your time.

I.e. it is saying this training starts at 9pm for me, which is UK time, which the mm starts 7pm my/UK time.
