  • There are 3 possible events you can create. Here they are and explained how:

    • Mission Planner: The mission planner is for Main Missions. You have to follow this guide line for the requirements. These events also need approval by CMs.
    • Training Planner: The Training Planner is for Training events. If you are running a Training use this calendar.
    • Community Events: This is for games other than Arma 3 or special events in Arma 3 which take place during off hours. This includes reserving the server for you and your friends to play together.

If you do something on the Training Planner or the Community Events Calendar, it is preferred that you either take the 2nd Server or make sure nothing else is running at the same time.

In this short course, (as Drago likes to call it: "Tanks, a complete guide on how to herd them, vol.1") we will go over the role of RTO, explaining your part in a standard FK platoon and looking at how an RTO can use the map to his advantage when planning or commanding ground assets. This course is mostly aimed at people who are interested in the RTO role and do not have a lot of experience yet with commanding ground assets such as mortar crew, IFV's and MBT's. As such, this training is not really aimed at players who already have an extensive amount of experience with the role. We will not cover mortar comms in this session, we'll only look into asset placements and maneuvers in different scenarios.
No RSVP, please comment your interest in joining this course.
regulars+ who have registered themselves on the RTO training/eval form have priority.

This is basics for CC not for gunships and flying in general. This means there will be little talk about tactics and communications. This trainings main focus is the technical side behind sitting in the gunner slot of a gunship.

The birds we are mainly going to use for this training are the AH-1Z Cobra, AH-6M Littlebird, AH-64 Apache, Mi-24 Hind and RAH-66 comanche.
Main topics that will be covered: Italic stuff is only very briefly talked about!
The roles of a gunship Your rights and duties as a gunship crew The roles of specific crew slots. Sensors Radar RWR Infrared Visual Launch detection "Datalink" Weapon usage Main cannon FFAR Hellfire (Laser and Radar) ACE RHS Wireguided AA tactics and strike theory IFF and making the right judgement on when to ask and when to shoot first (universal RoE) Example scenarios (This is where you get to do the shooty shooty thing) Emergency procedures (Same thing as in all other 101)
This training is up to everybody but regular+ get priority. If the RSVP is full come back a few hours before the training starts ... last time we had nearly half of the attendees dropped out after being RSVPed. (We then just let everybody into the flight training room)
Training will be held on the second server. (Fly bois / CC tagholder who just want to listen in and maybe learn a few new things (but don't want to do the full training) feel free to just hop in and stay a bit in the back. Still keep in mind the template is limited to 17 people)

Btw if you got 1 hour and 45 minutes of time feel free to prepare with watching this video (keep in mind it is a bit outdated so don't take everything in it for granted)
