  • There are 3 possible events you can create. Here they are and explained how:

    • Mission Planner: The mission planner is for Main Missions. You have to follow this guide line for the requirements. These events also need approval by CMs.
    • Training Planner: The Training Planner is for Training events. If you are running a Training use this calendar.
    • Community Events: This is for games other than Arma 3 or special events in Arma 3 which take place during off hours. This includes reserving the server for you and your friends to play together.

If you do something on the Training Planner or the Community Events Calendar, it is preferred that you either take the 2nd Server or make sure nothing else is running at the same time.

    Regs+ only
RSVP is capped at 2 (TWO) due to how much will need to be taught and it's only fair that regulars+ get the priority for this as they've been waiting longer. I will most likely NOT bring in any extras. Leave your name in the comments if you want but do not expect to be brought in unless there is a no-show; I will allow ten minutes past the start time if you're running late before I give a place away to someone else. If you wish to reserve a slot in the case of a no show, PLEASE be on the TS at start time so that I might bring you in. It is highly recommended you have at least a basic understanding of how to use the 82mm Rangetable, either through reading the Mortar Guide or going through the paces on your own in the editor/server.
    Topics covered:
Roles and Responsibilities Basic Long Range Communications & Fire Missions Equipment (Types of mortar and the gear to use one effectively) Operating the mortar (Ranging, Calculating, Understanding) 82mm Rangetable Intent:
Theoretical stuff Take turns as Gunner and LOADER, firing at targets indicated Work together as Gunner and Assistant to carry out fire missions (Can count as exam if requested, otherwise can schedule one at a later date)

    Overview
This training is aimed at people who are new to the FK. Doesn't matter if you're brand new to Arma or you have 500 hours under your belt but no experience with the mods we use.
    Topics that will be covered:
How to join and make sure you can successfully join our servers What happens in the FNG and Off-hours rooms Slotting procedure and what happens in the spawn area ACE Arsenal - how to get yourself equipment you'll need ACE Interactions ACE Medical - Basic rifleman first aid Short Range Radio BLUFOR vs OPFOR assets static showcase LAT introduction and overpressure (see event picture above) Rangefinding and working with map (if time allows) I also have two loadouts prepared for you, one for BLUFOR, one for OPFOR. They're meant as basic templates you can fall back to, change uniform and be ready to play.
The idea is that you will be able to go straight into a mission after the training and play as a rifleman.
This training does not earn you any tags or direct progress towards a Regular rank. But it will teach you how to play with us and therefore indirectly leads to both.
    How to join
Please RSVP here and be at "General Training" room on TS at given time. We will be conducting this training on server 2.
Time in the calendar should be automatically  adjusted to your own timezone, but just to make sure, this training will start at 1730 CET - 2.5 hours before the main mission.
You're expected to have the mods from our modset downloaded via Steam. Also please install the TFAR plugin for your TeamSpeak, if you have any issues with it, come 10 minutes earlier so we can sort it out.
IP and password will be given to you before we join the server.
    Mandatory reading
Rules on how to conduct yourself in an FK Arma mission:
    Recommended reading
Recommended bindings and ACE settings - we will cover these during the training as well.
TFAR guide - will be covered to some extent, contains list of of radios for each faction
Roles Index - who does what

I am looking to do a local host for a WW2 event, it will use a slimmer fk modset with two additions, (the preset can be found here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!At3fen2oXVnzgo8ZvGcUsslQGiqZQg to use it download it and open it with a browser, additionally import it using the Arma 3 launcher.)
The idea will be to take the Island below from the Japanese (you being the USMC). You will use landing craft to secure green beach and then pushing up securing key areas of this island, You will have the use of planes, tanks, mechanised vehicles and artillery fire from the ships off the shore. Respawns will be unlimited and once Green Beach is secure respawns and tanks will be able to be spawned there. At Alphas decision they can use landing craft as respawns to attack other beachheads.
This will be capped at 32 players plus 2 Zeus', may add three additional slots for ammo runners but we see. If we end up with enough time we will then look at hosting a second mission with another Zues.
Tags will be enforced and RSVP will take priority. Server Rules will apply and anyone seen to be deliberately breaking server rules will be kicked from this event and all future local hosts as well as reported (this is mainly said as people act like animals on local hosts). Certain rules like bolt actions will be waved as well its ww2, plus some rules will be added, ie Zues enforced uniform, weapon, ect to stop the people who will take a m16 with eod vest cause they are really funny and cool and i wish i was like them so somebody likes me.
If we dont get enough player to run this mission a smaller op is planned on a woodland map, however, dependant upon numbers this mission will be run with either fewer units or if it feels too empty a small number of zues controlled ai to add to the mermaid (immersion).
The map below shows the suggested/likely plan of attack to secure all of the objectives.
Hopefully ill see you all there!
    Assets:
    2 x Tonk
    1 or 2 x Flyboi
    3 x squads
    maybe messengers or ammo carriers
Alot of landing craft for tonks and people

    MAT/HAT/AA Training and practice
Also known as "flying boom-boom practice".
    Disclaimer
Generally speaking this will be an attempt to make a MAT/HAT/AA training and practice and it's more or less a trial. For this reason I'd like the people who sign up to know that there is a non-zero chance of it sucking. That said I think it will be fine and you'll be forgotten as brave pioneers of MAT training.
For the reason of this being first training of this kind I'll be running I'm limiting RSVPs to 8 people (4 couples, read below) and I will adjust amount of people for future sessions accordingly.
    Weapons Covered
M3 MAAWS (Carl G) SMAW RPG-7 BAF Javelin system Stinger Igla In other words most commonly used launchers.
Expect everything from shooting M3 over long distance to practicing with RPG-7's tandem projectile at 250 meters.
    Topics and procedures
We'll go over a short intro of these launchers and proceed straight to a firing range where you'll be able to engage various armored and unarmored targets at various distances with various types of missiles.
What will be probably very interesting feature for people is that we'll be employing AT teams structure - you'll split into couples where one is the rifle/launcher operator and the other is his assistant. After a bit you'll of course switch the roles.
In short, the gunner's job is to aim, zero and fire. The assistant's job will be to accurately range the target, ensure backblast area is clear and reload the launcher where applicable.
After we'll go through the launchers I'll be giving you targets for practice with possibility of splitting the couples so everyone can start firing away.
