There are 3 possible events you can create. Here they are and explained how:
- Mission Planner: The mission planner is for Main Missions. You have to follow this guide line for the requirements. These events also need approval by CMs.
- Training Planner: The Training Planner is for Training events. If you are running a Training use this calendar.
- Community Events: This is for games other than Arma 3 or special events in Arma 3 which take place during off hours. This includes reserving the server for you and your friends to play together.
If you do something on the Training Planner or the Community Events Calendar, it is preferred that you either take the 2nd Server or make sure nothing else is running at the same time.

Ok, so last year and in the summer we had a weekend event that was a lot of fun! It was essentially teams of 3, 3 rounds - air, land, water...
Anyone can attend, you just need teams of 3, can always use AI for any left overs, so don't just not turn up cos you havent got a team in advance, people can show up on their own and be put into a team!
If there is enough interest I may do multiple rounds of a scenario, just in different places, I.e. multiple land rounds but one in a town, one in a flat plain, one with tanks, one with techies, etc.
To be held on server 2, unless testing is going on.

So, last year we did the air round where each team of 3 had a UH-1Y with 2 door gunners. Last team standing, once a winner was decided we ended the mission and reloaded the template...
For the land round each team had an Abrams, again last team standing and once a winner was decided we ended the mission and reloaded the template.
For the water round each team had the Mk5.S.VOC (I think) large boat with 4 guns on the back, same thing for the winner.
I am happy to zeus, it doesn't need much apart from putting down the vics, so I can still put an AI down and rc to be involved in a team, but happy to stay in zeus and watch. (if anyone is interested in recording and then uploading a vid that would be great and welcomed)

The most recent event we used a Leopard due to RHS issues... This means it will take a good shot to kill others in one shot and hopefully prolong this round!
We can have a vote on the day for what tank is used.
For the heli round I just went with UH-1Y's, as you can see below just the miniguns for door gunners, I opted to remove the standard missiles as that will just favour the better flyers!
Again, we can do a vote on the day to see if a majority prefer a different heli.
For the boat round we will also just use the same as last year, the Mk. V SOC. A choice of 4 guns for the 2 gunners in each team, including a GMG, but be careful of your ammo levels...
As a bonus round if everyone fancies, I thought maybe some would like a jet round. Obviously this would then change to single players rather than teams of 3.
I will be drawing square grids on the map, all vehicles must stay within these lines.

BRIEFING
Your team has been selected to be the first US forces sent into Afghanistan in the war against the Taliban and Al-Qaeda. The situation here is fickle so we need a team like yours to be both a hammer and a scalpel.
The Taliban have spent years consolidating their power in the region by taking over towns and villages and enforcing their rule through terror. A large afghan force called The Northern Alliance has been opposing them in the years since but unfortunately it seems that the Alliance is not an unified as we had once believed. It seems that a General Dostum has the largest amount of fighters and whose territory is in close proximity to this region's largest town and airfield so you will be inserted to assist him.
That assistance will primarily come in the form of directing airstrikes on Taliban targets during the Militia’s assaults on the held towns and villages. We have reliable intel that the Taliban have a large number of soviet era arms and armor, including up to t-72’s and other APC’s and IFV’s. We can confirm the presence of MI-8’s and MI-24’s on the airfield but our intel shows they do not have the fuel to get them in the air.
The militia has limited ground vehicles so expect to be on foot the majority of your mission, capturing enemy transports is highly recommended. The Taliban have no idea you are in the AO and are relaxed in their territory so use that to your advantage when conducting your strikes. We also have intel that an influx of Al-Qaeda fighters having been either passing through or reinforcing their ranks. Al-Qaeda fighters will be better equipped and better trained.
You will be inserted via a CH47 and await for General Dostum’s escorts, pack for a multi day operation. Good luck, give em hell.
OBJECTIVES
PRIMARY
Insert into the AO and await escort from local militia
You will be inserted via CH47 in the mountains within General Dostum’s territory. Once you hit the ground you are to dig in and await for the escort arranged by the general.
Meet with General Dostum
General Dostum will meet you at his main camp, he will go over his battle plan with you there.
Take the 3 towns
The overall objective for your mission is to kick the Taliban and Al-Qaeda out of the country, this will be done by capturing 3 major strongholds in the region along with the local militias.
SECONDARY
Call in enemy positions for bombs strikes
An A/10A will be flying overhead and is loaded with bombs, use your JTAC teams to call in the strikes.
Support the Militia
Keeping the Militia happy and on our side is a huge priority, you will be dropped with a bag of “gifts” for the general which must be delivered to him.

1X Pilot, will start in CH47 then switch over A/10A loaded with bombs ONLY. you will get 3 resupplies.
